More consignment stores to check out!

I really like this one, it just opened here right down the street and I go every chance I get. It's called Savers, I had never heard of them before it opened here. I got a few pairs of jeans, shirts and an outfit for Jack all for 17 dollars, and the clothes were in good shape. It's a pretty big shop though and it can get overwhelming (at least for me) but it has just about everything in there, you would have to spend an hour or so to really look through it all. Here is the link if you want to check it out and find one near you: Savers

Shopping at consignment stores

I learned a long time ago that shopping at consignment stores can really pay off, and it's also a lot funner than shopping in stores because you never know what you'll find. I got at least half of my son's clothes at consignments, there's one down the street from me called "Just Like New" and they consign baby, children's (up o size 7 or 8) and also maternity. I got a brand new maternity bathing suit there last year for 8 dollars and the tags said 50.00. You can also make extra money at consignment shops  by bringing in your clothes that are in good shape, they usually only take things that are close to new or in really good shape. Here are a few outfits that I got my son at the one near me

Welcome to my first blog post!

Hi and welcome to my blog and my first post here. My name is Tanya, I'm 35 years old and a first time mother to 5 month old Jack. I have learned a lot in only 5 months of being a mom, and I also have learned quite a bit from my friends that have kids. It's a tough economy and now more than ever we have to watch what we buy and make what we do buy last longer. I've learned to shop at consignment shops, make my own baby food and get cool toys for next to nothing (or nothing!). I have a lot more to write but I'm getting paged by little Jack up from his nap! Check out my family blog too- Gadsby Gang
